How to redeem points for stays in All-Inclusive Resorts
9/25/20244 min read

Hyatt hotels are famous for offering great value when booked using miles. And let’s be honest, is there any better way to take a free vacation than using your points to book a resort that already includes food and drinks? To use your credit card miles for booking directly with Hyatt, you need flexible miles that can be transferred to partner companies.
Keep reading for tips on how to book all-inclusive resorts using credit card points, and for suggestions of popular Hyatt resorts you can enjoy with your points
How do I find available dates?
Although finding last-minute deals is possible, I strongly recommend booking popular all-inclusive resorts as soon as the calendars open, especially during high-demand periods like Spring Break and winter holidays. In the case of Hyatt, most properties open availability up to 13 months in advance. If you’re having trouble finding availability, try searching for just 2 people and check different dates, including single days. Sometimes, if one night within the dates you're looking for isn’t available with points, the entire period may not show availability. Searches are made directly on the website https://www.hyatt.com/
How to transfer points to the Hyatt portal?
To transfer your miles from Chase Ultimate Rewards to Hyatt, you first need to accumulate points in your Chase Ultimate Rewards account by applying for and using cards that are part of that group. After earning your miles, you need to create an account with Hyatt. Important: The names on both accounts must match exactly for the transfer to be successful. It's very common for Brazilians to have long names, and the full name may not fit on the card. So for example, if your credit card says "Gabri Fernandes da Silva" because the full "Gabriela" didn’t fit, create your Hyatt account with the name "Gabri".
After earning your miles, setting up your Hyatt account, and finding availability with miles at the resort and dates you want, you need to log in to your Chase Ultimate Rewards, click on 'Transfer points to Partners,' select Hyatt, register your account, and transfer the required amount of miles for the entire stay. The transfer can take a few minutes or up to 7 days
Popular Hyatt All-Inclusive Resorts:
Here are some great ways to use your Chase Ultimate Rewards points and Hyatt points to book one of the nearly 100 all-inclusive resorts affiliated with Hyatt. In addition to resorts bearing the Hyatt name, like the Hyatt Ziva, brands such as Dreams, Secrets, and Zoetry (adults only) are also included.
Hyatt Ziva Cancun
Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a luxurious all-inclusive resort located on the stunning Cancun peninsula, surrounded by the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. The hotel offers a high-end experience with several pools, including an infinity pool, a full-service spa, gyms, and gourmet restaurants serving everything from Mexican cuisine to international dishes. For families, the resort has a kids' club and designated areas for children, while adults can enjoy exclusive spaces like the rooftop bar. Additionally, the resort offers activities such as live shows, water sports, and snorkeling.
The average nightly rate at Hyatt Ziva Cancun ranges from 40,000 to 60,000 points per day, for two people.
Zoetry Curacao Spa & Resort
Zoetry Curaçao Spa and Resort is an intimate all-inclusive resort, perfect for those seeking a luxurious and tranquil experience. Children are not allowed, and the resort has an intimate atmosphere with only 72 suites, ensuring exclusivity and privacy. It is known for its focus on wellness and relaxation, and offers golf cart transportation to the private beach (which has a kitchen and bar), with cabanas and an incredible sea for those who enjoy snorkeling and observing coral and fish.
In addition to the resort’s restaurants, guests staying at Zoetry also have access to the resort, pools, bars, and restaurants at Dreams Curaçao, located across the street. I stayed there in 2023 and loved it!
The average nightly rate at Zoetry Curaçao ranges from 25,000 to 40,000 points per day for two people.
Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta
Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta is an all-inclusive resort located on a private beach surrounded by mountains and the calm waters of Banderas Bay. With a paradisiacal and exclusive setting, the hotel offers a luxurious and relaxing experience, ideal for couples and families.
The resort features several pools, including one with an ocean view, a full-service spa, and various dining options, such as Mexican, Asian, and Italian cuisine restaurants. For those who enjoy activities, Hyatt Ziva offers everything from water sports like kayaking and snorkeling to evening entertainment with live shows.
The average nightly rate at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta ranges from 25,000 to 35,000 points per day for two people.

Credit cards that earn points which can be used for Hyatt stays!
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
Chase Sapphire Reserve®
Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card
Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card
Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card
The World of Hyatt Credit Card
Chase Freedom Flex®
Chase Freedom Unlimited®
Although all these cards are eligible to earn miles, not all of them are eligible to transfer those miles to partners. So you need to have a card with an annual fee (Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Business Preferred) to be able to make this transfer between Chase and Hyatt.
My favorite credit cards!
