Review: All-Inclusive Resort in Curaçao fully booked with credit card points

9/25/20243 min read

I need to share with you the details of this amazing trip we took to Curaçao in 2023 and list our top 4 reasons why you should go there and why you should plan to earn miles to make this trip cost you practically nothing.

I had heard about the beauty of this island, but this experience exceeded all my expectations, especially because I was able to travel without any guilt. Traveling is already incredible, but traveling for free? It doesn’t get any better!

We stayed at Zoetry Curaçao Resort & Spa, a Hyatt group brand. You can book Hyatt group hotels using miles by transferring points from Chase Ultimate Rewards directly to their website

1- Accommodation, food, and drinks – on the beach and at the hotel, for free.

I booked four nights at Zoetry Curaçao Resort & Spa for 84,000 points, with each night costing 21,000 points. This resort has an average price of at least $600 per night, meaning each of my points was worth almost 3 cents. That’s nearly triple the "normal price" of a mile, which is 1 cent per point.

This resort has bungalows on a private beach (which is always pretty empty), with a bar and kitchen. My perfect late afternoon was lying in that bungalow, ordering a small salad, steak with loaded potatoes, and a mojito, and enjoying that incredible view and peace.

2- Access to two resorts

We stayed at Zoetry, a super zen resort. Children are not allowed, so it's for those seeking tranquility, honeymoon couples, and so on. They welcome you with champagne and everything!

But the coolest part is that guests at Zoetry also have access to the neighboring resort, Dreams Curaçao. This second resort is larger, has more dining options, a pool bar, and an AMAZING sunset. So it was like we were staying at two resorts at the same time – the peaceful one and the lively one!

3- The most beautiful ocean I have ever seen!

That's exactly what you read! Curaçao has the most beautiful sea I have ever seen. It’s a blue that makes you think, 'there’s no way this is real?'

And I’ve been to Hawaii, Thailand, Aruba, and Mexico. None of those places have a sea as beautiful as Curaçao’s.
In addition to the blue sea, there’s a lot of coral, colorful fish, and turtles. You won't regret it if you enjoy snorkeling or even scuba diving!

The island is relatively small, so if you rent a car, you can drive up and down and see everything.

4- Curaçao is out of the hurricane belt.

Being in the Caribbean and outside the hurricane belt, Curaçao has sunshine all year round!!

You can book your trip for any date, and the chance of having sunny weather is almost 100%.

The flight from the United States is very easy, as several airlines fly there, and you can also book a ticket with miles – but that’s a topic for another post! lol

Credit cards that earn points which can be used for Hyatt stays!

  • Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

  • Chase Sapphire Reserve®

  • Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card

  • Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card

  • Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card

  • The World of Hyatt Credit Card

  • Chase Freedom Flex®

  • Chase Freedom Unlimited®

Although all these cards are eligible to earn miles, not all of them are eligible to transfer those miles to partners. So you need to have a card with an annual fee (Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Business Preferred) to be able to make this transfer between Chase and Hyatt.
